In February of 2022 we were court ordered to move the dogs from our current property to a new location. The search for a new location proved to be difficult. We needed to find a property with the following criteria:

1. A facility that had a current kennel license.

2. A facility with enough kennels to house all of our current dogs.

3. A facility that would allow our volunteers to come in and take care of our dogs.

4. A facility within a reasonable amount of distance from our current property.

We were able to find only one facility which met all of these criteria. The rent each month for this facility is $8,000 which is a tremendous amount of money that we had not planned on each month. Would we have liked to be able to find a different location that met all of the criteria for less money? Of course we would have, but it wasn’t out there. So we need to move forward and focus on what our situation is. With our new Angel Program and one-time monthly donations to the Devoted Dog House we can make this a manageable expense. We don’t know what the future will bring as far as the Devoted Dog House and if they will ever be able to move back to the property but in the meantime we will keep them safe, healthy, happy and given lots of love.
