Here at the Devoted Barn we have many reoccurring expenses in order to fulfill our mission of giving our animals a safe and loving environment for them to enjoy during the time they spend with us. We go through a tremendous amount of feed, grain, hay and straw for all of our farm animals. We have lease payments for both the sanctuary property and the Dog House and we have montly vetting for our equine, farm animal and mobile vet.
On this page is a breakdown of what we need each month to house, feed and vet all of our animals. If you would like to donate any of these items, you can click on the link for that specific item. For our Horses
Each week we go thru 35 bags (140 bags a month) of the Tribute Equine Nutrition Seniority and the Tribute Equine Kalm E-Z Pellets. In addition we use 7 bags (28 bags a month) of the Kalmbach Hay Pellets for our mush bucket crew. All 3 of these products can be purchased from our Chewy Wish List. Hay Bales
Here at the Sanctuary we go 84 square bales of hay and 19 round bales to feed all of our horses, sheep, goats and cows each month. The square bales cost us $5.00 per bale and the round bales are $40 per bale. Total cost per month is $1,180. For our Dogs
Every month we go through at least 50 cases of canned cat food, 15 bags of dry dog food, tons of puppy pads, and are always in need of soft dog treats and toys. All of these items can be found on our Amazon and Chewy wish lists at the links below.

Monthly Property Payments
Each month we have a total of $14,000 for the land contract payment for our Sanctuary property and the lease payment for our Dog House Property. This line item is a huge part of our monthly budget but it is so important in order for us to maintain the housing for all of our animals. Monthly Veterinary Costs
Each month we have veterinary costs for each area of our animals to keep them healthy. For our Farm Animals it is $250, for our Equine vet and Farrier is $1,000 and for our Dog Vet it is $2,000.
